Silvia Franceschi

I am a passionate Environmental Engineer and an OSGEO charter member working in the fields of hydrology, hydraulics and GIS sciences. I have a PhD in Mountain Environment and agriculture with a great interest in the maintenance and protection of the environment and of the environmental resources, especially water and vegetation. I am really convinced that GIS and digital maps in general, represent the future in environmental sciences. This will increase the possibility for the application of environmental models as an activity to support technicians, managers and politics.
