ARIES is pleased to announce that it will host the session T17c – Advancing the natural capital accounting: connecting the dots between ecosystem extent, condition, and services at the 6th ESP Europe Conference, held on 18–22 May 2026 in Prague, Czechia!
The Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) is a global network that connects people working to improve how ecosystem services inform decision-making, and its conferences are vibrant spaces where new ideas and collaborations emerge. ARIES (BC3) together with VITO and UNEP-WCMC, are excited to contribute to this year’s programme, and abstract submissions for our session are now open.
The session will explore how the different components of natural capital accounting can be better integrated to produce a more comprehensive overview of the complex processes driving the production and use of ecosystem services across various scales.
We welcome diverse perspectives and examples which can contribute to discussions on needs and approaches to capturing interactions between ecosystem condition and services. We aim to co-identify research priorities, foster community building, and network with those engaged in this topic from diverse disciplines (e.g., modelling, economic accounting, monitoring, policy implementation).
