about
I am a postdoctoral researcher at BC3 with expertise in spatiotemporal modeling, geospatial databases, and artificial intelligence. After earning my Ph.D. in Geographic Information Science, which focused on modeling and managing dynamic geographic phenomena, I advanced to postdoctoral research in AI applied to geospatial databases. There, I utilized ontologies and knowledge graphs to capture and reason about the complexities of geographic systems.
At BC3, my work bridges machine reasoning, GIS, and data science to develop digital twins—virtual models of real-world geographic systems. I contribute to the K.LAB and ARIES platforms, which aim to provide innovative tools for modeling and managing geographic phenomena, particularly in the context of climate resilience and ecosystem sustainability. My research aim is to deliver holistic, semantic and data-driven solutions to address environmental and societal challenges.
