We are thrilled to announce the official launch of HeCo Invest at COP16 in Cali, Colombia, on October 28, 2024! This innovative platform, developed in 2021 in collaboration with BC3 through ARIES, WWF Colombia, Vizzuality, and the InterAmerican Development Bank, is designed to mobilize investments that drive regenerative economies and inclusive value chains, with a special focus on the Amazon region.
The HeCo Invest platform originates from the Leticia Project, created to connect governments (signatories of the Leticia Pact to protect the Amazon), investors, donors, and philanthropists with high-priority investment opportunities in the Amazon basin. By integrating Geographic Information System (GIS) and Client Relationship Manager (CRM) technologies, the platform offers users access to maps, data layers, and analysis tools, supporting sustainable development and facilitating better decision-making processes.
This integrated platform promotes data sharing, collaboration, and engagement among stakeholders, empowering local authorities, organizations, and communities to tackle key challenges such as deforestation and improving the efficiency of conservation efforts. With its focus on driving positive impacts on jobs, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity, HeCo Invest is a crucial link between financial resources and high-impact projects that benefit both people and the environment.
